TRACE provided construction administration services for the $1.1 million Acute Angle Connectors construction at DVT. The project constructed two new acute angle taxiway connectors, A6 and A8, in Deer Valley Airport’s north airfield. Construction activities included the grading and paving of approximately 7,300 SY of new P-401 asphaltic concrete pavement over P-209 crushed aggregate base course and P-155 lime treated subgrade. The project also included the construction of new storm drain pipe and catch basins, new electrical hand holes to route the runway homerun circuit, taxiway edge lighting, runway guard lights, and pavement markings.
Construction management services included the evaluation and approval of construction submittals, shop drawings, quality control test reports, and review of Contractor’s payment applications. Additionally, TRACE provided on-site construction observation during the course of construction. As part of the construction observation, TRACE prepared weekly field inspection reports to the City and monthly and quarterly reports to the FAA.
